I am having difficulty in understanding how to hook up a turnout motor correctly. I have read both of the DCC books and they do not explain it.(or else I could not find it) I am using Atlas 100 rail with Peco insulfrog turnouts. I have the Peco motors that go underneath the turnout. My question is, what do I hook the motor to? Correct me if I am wrong.... do I use a stationary decoder? (that only does 4 turnouts and is expensive) But then, what does that get hooked to?...... my Digitrax command station? Eventually, I would like to run everything from a computer and also manual switches on the base board. If anyone has an easy to read diagram, I would greatly appreciate it.

The answers to your questions can be found at the Wiring For DCC web site. http://www.wiringfordcc.com with a dedicated section for wiring turnouts and turnout controls at http://www.wiringfordcc.com/switches.htm If that does not privide your answer, check out the posted questions in the Wiring for DCC Q&A forum. Finally if the answer still alludes you, feel free to ask a question. Many qualified people have volunteered to help answer your qeustions.
