Hi,
I needed a hobby to share with my 6yr. old
boy. Having enjoyed model railroading as a
boy myself, I jumped headfirst,(headstrong),
according to my wife into the hobby with
Marklin dig. equip. Living in the Caribbean
is great, but there is no easy access to
repair facilities. I sure hope Marklin cost
is a reflection of quality.

You bet! The Marklin stuff that I used in Germany was first rate, and never had a moment's trouble, but it is pricey.
