The City has just bought 45 acres apparently adjoining Grass Creek Park. They have not decided what to do with it. 2931 Hwy 2 East. It goes from Hwy 2 to the Bateau Channel. Rosen says they want to keep pace with the recreational and cultural needs of the residents

Once burnt, forever shy.
We would have to be very careful getting involved with the City again. I realize that some find the idea of Westport to be a little too far out of the way, but it really is not that far.
I am just afraid that we would get caught back up in the bureuocracy and red tape. I dont want some paperpusher deciding that some kid could get hurt, so if we could kindly move our track, their job will be safer.

Nothing is for free. What would they want in return?, guaranteed run days for the public?
