Can anyone provide any info or source of info on Santa Fe passenger train that used to run between El Paso, Texas, and Albuquerque, NM? Train was sometimes known as the "ElPasoan". Am looking for ANY info - consist data, loco numbers, photos, or where to find any of these. Thanks,

Good source for consist info is "A Quarter Century of Santa Fe Consists" by Frew W, Frailey. The "El Pasoan" (13/14) ran from 1925-1968. It was heavyweight til 1953 then lightweights til 1965, then RDCs 191 & 192.

If you can't find a copy on one of the on-line auction sites, try an interlibrary loan thru you local library. Also have you tried Amazon or Barnes & Noble which are also on-line. Don'tb have a way to scan the pages right now. Maybe someone else will oblige.

Since I happen to have a reprint edition of the July 1956 "Official Guide of the Railways" handy...
Trains 13 and 14 ran daily, with the only equipment listed as "chair car" (a.k.a. coach), plus the following note: "Special section of car between Albuquerque and El Paso has Lounge Coach seats that may be reserved in advance for a nominal service charge. Lunch-O-Mat provides Fred Harvey light refreshments, sandwiches, etc., at economical prices."
The condensed schedule: southbound, leave Albuquerque 6:00 P.M., Engel 8:52 P.M., Rincon 9:35 P.M., arrive El Paso 11:40 P.M. Northbound, leave El Paso 8:00 A.M., Rincon 9:45 A.M., Engel 10:31 A.M., arrive Albuquerque 1:45 P.M.
The full list of stops, going south: Albuquerque, Isleta, Los Lunas, Belen, Sabinal, San Acacia, Socorro, San Antonio, Lava, Engel, Cutter, Grama, Rincon, Radium Springs, Hill, Las Cruces, Mesilla Park, Mesquite, Anthony, Canutillo, and El Paso.
All of those are listed as flag stops except Belen, Socorro, Engel, Rincon, Las Cruces, and, of course, Albuquerque and El Paso.

Car Names Numbers and Consists says "Lunch-O-Mat vending machines were installed in chair car 3153 in August 1953 for Albuquerque-ElPaso operation.
