While driving my bus thru a neighborhood for a field trip, i saw a sign on someone's lawn that was against a double track...i havent heard of it.
So they wanna double track?

what dya know about this people?

It's a LOOOOONG way off in the future. Double tracking the existing mainline thru San Clemente is just one of the many alternatives being discussed for the San Francisco to San Diego high speed rail project

This topic shows up in the news now and then. It was also being considered for the Surfliners, and one suggestion was a double-track tunnel beneath I-5 thru the area.

As stated above, any of this happening for real is a LOOONG waf off.
