In Dodge City, Kansas, there are two semi-trailers parked in a lot near the Amtrak station. One trailer has two New York Central heralds painted on its rear doors. The other trailer has Penn Central heralds.

They're a few yards away from an old Illinois Central dome car that's in pretty sad shape.

Does anyone know anything about those two trailers (as well as the dome car) and what they're doing in Dodge City?

Lord only knows about the semitrailers.

IC never bought new domes (source: Dorin, The Domeliners, sometime in the 70s) ... but, a look-see may well yield whose dome it once was...
