(This will be my last post for this event-filled day on the RRs here in the SF Bay area.)
Here is the Salinas Track warrant for the VERY late AMTRAK 11 running with the UP 9437 south(sched departed OKJ on 3-1): UP 9437 south Check BOX 2 proceed from North Switch Salinas to Soledad on main track of Coast Subdivision. Check BOX 10 clear main track at last named point(Soledad). OK time 2308 by dispatcher PJK.
UPDS 73 has said the Crew will indeed be changed at Salinas, CA. For reference, This train was near Watsonville CA at about 1105 PM .

Dan, Was the UP 9437 on the point of Amtrak 11? Or was it added for the attack of the Mountains north of Santa Barbara
