As I drove past San Onofre this morning I saw a construction crew working near the south end of the extended San Onofre siding. [This is on the former AT&SF "Surf Line" in So Cal between Oceanside and San Clemente

Also, there are several signals wrapped in plastic with the signal heads turned. New three-light signals to come on line later this summer?

The siding extension is due to be done this weekend. New CP San Onofre is now MP 212.3
We get 3.1 miles of 2MT CTC ATS .

It is now in service. The detector has a male voice saying San Diego Northern now and is good for both tracks.

Glad to hear it (that the siding is open, that is). Can always use more capacity/fewer delays along that line.
