An underground natural gas storage facility northwest of Hutchinson Ks. had seepage into the salt deposits under Hutchinson. This seepage vented (exploded) near the tracks through town. UP, BNSF, and KSW all have track through or around the affected area. Not to mention Amtraks use of BNSF's track. I don't know if trains have resumed running yet.

I see the eastbound Southwest Chief which operates through there is reported 3 hours late as of now. Perhaps that is the reason.
