For you passenger car fans, the former SP club lounge (with barbershop) 2981 is running from LA to San Diego. Also along for the journey is a former CN business car now called the Scottish Thistle. The owner of the sp lounge runs the car once a month (second Saturday) on excursions open to the public. If your track side this Saturday (March 10), be on the lookout for Amtrak trains; 566, 575, 578, and 597. Also, mid day in LA, (between 12:10pm and 2:00pm, the cars will be laying over, anyone is welcome to stop by to say hello and get a tour.
