I'm planning a weekend trip on the Coast Starlight over Memorial day. I'm wondering if California's rolling blackouts, if they materialize, will affect train travel. In particular, will things like signals and switching be affected and cause delays? Though a blackout would only strike a given area for an hour or two, it is conceivable that a train could pass through multiple blacked out areas during the course of a trip.
