Hello! If anyone is interested, I have a story about my first train trip, last summer on the Lake Shore Limited. I'll probably have that done in time for my next trip in August!

Daisy, I got in this time. That was a nice little story. As you found, sleeping on a train takes a little getting used to, but after a few times the little jolts no longer interrupt your slumber. Thanks for sharing.

Great story Daisy. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. Just one point, the LSL #48 & #49 are the same equipment. If waiting for a late train in Chicago, it would have to be a very late #48 from New York. The Texas Eagle & SW Chief are both Superliner Bilevel equipment & are unable to travel through the tunnels approaching NY. The SW Chief was turned into the Capitol Ltd. for some time, but, that was recently discontinued. Glad you liked your trip in spite of the late trains. I lose my watch when I'm on the train & don't care what time it is. Maybe next time you might consider the Three Rivers to Chicago, the scenery is great & you could board the train in Trenton.
