We have reservations on the Canadien between Toronto and Vancouver and back the first week in October. Is the dress casual? How much room do you have in a double room for a suitcase? Will a large 6'3" person have trouble fitting in a bunk? Any other tips to help make the trip better would be really appreciated. I'm 6'3" and have no trouble with the bunks. In fact, I think the mattresses on these older cars are thicker than what AMTRAK provides.
Dress is casual, and you ought to be able to put one suitcase in the double room.
