Hawk Mountain Chapter, Natl. Ry. Historical Society, announces PICNICRAIL for Saturday, May 26, 2001, at Maier's Grove, on Grove Road just off PA Route 73 in Blandon, PA, along NS (ex-CR/RDG) East Penn Branch. Start 1 p.m., Photo workshop by Steve Barry, Editor of Railfan & Railroad, book/video sales, and trainwatching until barbeque served 5 p.m. Steve Barry will have slide show at dusk; ends about 10 p.m. $10/adult. Check or money order to Phil Reppert, (Pres. H.M.Chapter) at 17 Adele Ave., Blandon, PA 19510. After 5-19 tickets held for pickup at grove. Co-sponsors Lehigh Valley and Pottstown & Reading Chapters NRHS, also Anthracite and Conrail Historical Societies.
This has been annual event for over 10 years.
