WORKIN’ ON THE RAILROAD DAYS, August 4 - 5, Shore Line Trolley Museum, 17 River Street, East Haven CT. A festival showcasing the “unsung heroes” of the Trolley Era: cars that carried work crews and material instead of passengers, and the crews that worked on them. Interpreted exhibits. Live demonstrations of railroad work and work trolleys, including 1920 snow sweeper and 1929 crane car, between 12 and 4. Admission includes unlimited rides and all demonstrations. Interpreted visit to the restoration shop with its operating 77-year-old wheel lathe. The trolley line itself is 101 years old! Ride the trolley to the museum’s shady Picnic Grove. Air-conditioned, accessible Visitors' Center with interactive exhibits and Gift Shop.

Trolleys operate frequently from 10:30 a.m through 4:30p.m. Museum admission $6.00 adults, $5.00 seniors, $3.00 children (2-15). Directions and more information on the Trolley Museum's website.
