Linden Open House

The Monon Railroad Historical-Technical Society in conjunction with the Linden Railroad Museum will have an open house on Saturday, July 28th at 10:00 am lasting throughout the afternoon. The open house will showcase the new Monon Society headquarters building and two Monon railroad cars that have recently been restored. The Linden Railroad Museum will also be open to the public and admission is free to both buildings on that day.

The Monon Society headquarters contains the paper archives from the former railroad, which will be available for public viewing. In addition, Monon pictures and slides will be available for viewing.

Several Monon motor cars will be available at the museum site to see and photograph. The Linden Museum and Monon Society are also planning a small railroad flea market during the day.

Some of the other activities planned are dedication ceremonies, presentation of plaques of appreciation, displays of Monon artwork, use of a newly-installed radio antenna, and the sale of Monon Society products including model kits, china, and slides.

Plan to stop by the Linden Museum on Saturday and bring your camera and radio scanner if you have one. Monon Society's website address is www.monon.org .
