April 27-28 is the Rail Fest, get to ride many different types of trains all the way to the Perris depot, also ride trolleys, etc.
Also, Saturday May 11 -- an excursion to Highgrove, wow! more rare mileage for me -- Note, this is NOT mentioned in the web site, you have to call them, I got this info from here as well, have already made reservations and can't wait!!
Saturday May 25 -- another excursion up the line to the March Air Museum, nice air museum there -- again this is NOT mentioned in their web site.
Already made reservations and can't wait.
Any one know why they don't advertise these excursions? Spread the word, we don't want them cancelled.

It was interesting to see that the old SP crossing is still protected by signals, even though the SP line had been cut just east of the diamond.
That ice cream vendor at Grand Terrace was one lucky guy. I'll bet he had no idea a train full of people would stop there.
And, if memory serves...the OERM track does seem a little bit smoother (and the train went slightly faster) than on the BNSF segment north of Perris.
One person mentioned they had run a trip to Hemet some time earlier...that would be interesting too. Does the track no longer go to San Jacinto?
