Did Amtrak ever have any F7 or F9 locomotives and if so what paint scheme were they in. Also can anyone tell me a web address with amtrak F-unit photos.

Thank you for you help.

Please peruse these links.

For F7As and FP7As: http://lib2.clark.cc.oh.us/amtrak/amtF.html

For F3Bs and FP7Bs: http://lib2.clark.cc.oh.us/amtrak/amtF7B.html

For FL9 dual-modes: http://lib2.clark.cc.oh.us/amtrak/amtFL9.html

Out of all the F-units, it seems that only the FL9s survived to wear Phase III, due to their unique properties.

This site has just about every other piece of Amtrak equipment, in case your appetite is whetted to look for pics of E-units after looking at all the F-units.
