In Amtrak's new 2003-2004 travel planner they mention for the Cardinal to visit the Viewliner Lounge with its huge wraparound windows. Isn't it just an Amfleet II Lounge? Is this a typo or do these cars really exist?

There is no Viewliner Lounge though I read somewhere that there was a design drawn up for one but Amtrak never ended up actually getting any. There is one Viewliner Diner but from what I heard its stored dead at Beech Grove indefinitely. Only 1 of the 2 Prototype Viewliner Sleepers is still in service, car #62091 "Eastern View". It's likely that they mean the Superliner Sightseer Lounge as we must remember this train was a Superliner Equipped train before last year. It could be in the plans to reequip that train with Superliners after more become available but nobody knows for sure.
