EL PASO, Texas - A Union Pacific intermodel freight train, the ILBDA-24 bound from long Beach., to Dallas, Texas, 10 miles southeast of EL Paso on the former Southern Pacific Los Angeles-New Orleans Sunset Route. Westbound train 1 of the 24th was terminated at Alpine, Texas, and passengers bused to Tucson, Aziz., to board the consist of eastbound counterpart train 2, which turned back to represent the westbound. Eastbound passengers were bused from Tuscon to Alpine, and the equipment from train 1 was serviced and reversed at Alpine to become train 2 of the 25th from Alpine to Orlando.
