Just happy to still be here and to have found others who enjoy taking train trips, talking about train trips taken, and thinking about train trips to come.

I've been educated here, had my point of view refined, and learned to better respect people that I don't always agree with.

I'm looking forward to the next 2,600 posts.

I'm so glad I didn't delete your membership application six years ago David. At the time we had been experiencing plenty of jerk and phantom applicants and when I saw the name "notelvis" I thought "great, here we go again, I'm going to keep my eye on this one". It didn't take long to realize what an asset you were to this forum.

That's partly why I have my name in the signature line.....to make the irony of not being Elvis apparant!!!!

Thanks for not having a quick trigger-finger!

Well.....I'm not 'obsessed' with it but I did notice a day or two ago that my count was 2,598 and thought #2,600 warranted an observation.

Celebrate the obscure, you know!
