I'm not sure if this was posted here or not. Trains.com is reporting that Amtrak has expressed official interest to CSX in extending the train to Nashville. I would hope that Amtrak will start running this train as a seperate operation/shedulefrom #50/51. The ideal consist would be a sleeper,a lounge(no food service on the present 11 hour run,how about no food on a 15 hour trip?)and at least two coaches. The current train almost always sells out of coach tickets north of Indy,so another coach is badly needed. Maybe the train could also serve Indy, the largest city on the line(except Chicago,of course),at a time other than the 2-4am slot.

I would imagine that this would be an extension of 850 and 851. I agree that they should change the boarding times in Indy. A 2:30 and 3:30 boarding is for the birds. But if you want to ride, you gotta make the sacrifice.
