A freight train ripped down catenary west of Newark, NJ at about 5:30PM on Saturday, February 9, 2002. The ensuing tangled wires fouled all four tracks in the area, thus stopping all Amtrak and NJ Transit trains headed West and East. As of late Saturday night, delays were running at least three hours out of New York Penn Station. Yikes.
