In a family bedroom or a standard bedroom, how much space is there between the top bunk and the ceiling? Can a person sit up in the top bunk?

In the superliners that I've traveled on in the past, you can't sit up completely in the top bunk. In the Viewliners, you can--plus there is a window for the top bunk.

There is very little room from the top bunk to the ceiling on a Superliner standard bedroom. There is no way you could possibly sit up. In fact, the area is so small, my wife feels claustrophobia and I always end up sleeping there.

Getting into a Superliner bunk is a little counterintuitive. You sort of point your head at the pillow and roll in on your shoulder. It is a little awkward the first time. There is only about two feet or three between the mattress and the ceiling.

I wish they would put a small window by the head of the bed to make it less claustrophobic.
