So, are we ever going to see the rebuilt Rohr/SSSI Turboliners in revenue service? What the heck is going on? Wasn't the first set finished almost 2 years ago? I mean, I know they had some bugs to work out, but this is getting ridiculous!

The answer is not for a long time.
There is a News Item currently on Kalmbach's www.trains.com (25 Mar 2002 - alas, you need to register) which indicates there are now problems with the control stands, the brakes, and air-conditioning.
It further adds much of the planned time savings will come from track improvements, which CSX won't make till NYS tax rates are reduced.
