What is the actual width of the amtrak trains, specifically the Superliners?

Amtrak cars (Superliners) are ~9'5" to 10' wide. In the Amtrak brochures, the width of a sleeper (bottom level) is 9'5". I think the width of the actual car is closer to 10', though (about the width of a Genesis unit).

As Eric stated I believe Superliners are right around 10' wide, give or take a couple inches. I found the statistic on the Bombardier site some time ago, but I couldn't find any mention of Superliners there today.

Here's an interesting comparison. The interior cabin width of a Boeing 737 is 11' 7", barely two feet wider than a Superliner. Yet the 737 seats six abreast, while trains seat four abreast. Guess which is more comfortable!

Another interesting fact: a 747 is 20 feet across and seats 10 people abreast.
