Hello all fellow passengers and Amtrak employees. I was furloughed with the cuts in March, and I am wondering does anyone know if, Amtrak receives the appropriations it needs from congress, will us furloughed employees be called back to work? Anyone has thoughts on this please respond...

Damn well ought to be put back to work. I'm not sure but it seems that Amtrak may not get any additional funding till Oct 1. I'm really hoping the new Amtrak president will convince the powers that be, that special funding is necessary now to get more cars & people on the rails. There is definitely a lot of work to be done & we need to put the furloughed employees back to work. Hopefully some of the management cuts will hold & we can get the workers back. Reggie
