Apparently Amtrak found a number of things about the first rebuild that they didn't like. It's gone back to the shop, and the other rebuilds will be delayed in order to incorporate the same changes.

NYDOT people told me their standard answer is "The turbos will enter service in six weeks" -- and that has been their answer since December!

LOL...how nice. You think after all this time, they may have had time to install an Acela Express-like active-tilt system and upgrade the top speed of these units to 150 mph...even possibly?

Amazing how everything related to high-speed rail gets half-done in this country...
