My best friend and family are riding the Cardinal next week after the supposed switch to a Viewliner sleeper. But I wonder whether this change really is going to happen as nobody from Amtrak has called him, the reservation still shows a Superliner room, and now the website reservations page shows Superliner space available. It was briefly taken out of inventory last week. Does anyone know what gives? Does Amtrak?

Guess somebody messed up. I'm not sure when the change takes place & it shouldn't be a problem going from Superliner to Viewliner equipment. The one exception is that the Viewliners only have 2 deluxe rooms & no family bedroom. I much prefer the viewliners over Superliners for a score of reasons.
