Amtrak hires by resume only. There sre crew bases in Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, Chicago, New Orleans, Washington DC, New York, Boston and I believe Miami. Small crew bases are also in Pittsburgh and Albany, NY. There may be a few more but those are the main ones.
