Can anyone give me info about Amtrak's New Rochelle, NY station? I'm not sure whether it's staffed, and I want to know if it's safe for an 18-yr.old girl traveling alone.
Thanks.

It is a staffed station and Metro North/Amtrak employees will be present. However, the station I believe closes at night, but a police officer will probably be in the area. I've only passed the station on a train, but I remember the area suurounding suburban, but not shaby. For extra security she might want to carry a cell phone, but otherwise you should be fine.
