How does the Equipment rotate on trains 58-59 in New Orleans? Does Mondays Arrival become Tuesday afternoon's train? I need to have the answer on when the next train would operate?

The Empire Builder and City of New Orleans swap equipment at Chicago. Thus, the northbound City forms the westbound Builder and vice versa. That's why you normally board the City on the *northern* platforms at Chicago, rather than the southern, 'cos that's where the Builder arrives.
Cars do, of course, get swapped on occasion for various reasons (servicing, maintenance, etc).

Geoff, you didn't anseer the original question, but then, neither will I. What you wrote, Geoff, is logical but not quite accurate for the Chicago operation. The Builder clears the north switches, stops, mail/express cars are disconnected, then, pulls through to the south side of the station where passengers are unloaded. Why the City of New Orleans loads through the north side is a mystery to me.
BTW, recently read where CNO-EB equipment run through will be changed to CNO-Texas Eagle, but when, I don't know.

Oops... I read New Orleans as City Of, rather than the location!
As the inbound arrives after the outbound departs, I'd imagine that Monday's arrival does become Tuesday's departure.
