I've read about SW Chief and others using older superliners (for sleepers)...does the EB usually use the newer stuff, the refurbished sleepers?
Thanks,
Scott

On my last trip there was one Superliner I and one Superliner II for the Seattle section. I didn't see what the Portland sleeper was.

When I took the Empire Builder last summer the sleepers were both 1 and 2 series.

Hope this helps.

On a long trip, I like the Superliner I because they have a larger upstairs public rest room than the Superliner II. The toilet paper is right in front of you and there is room to turn around and pull up your pants. Plus, it has a window!

What are the differences between Superliner I and II sleepers? Age, format, dimensions...?
