Got a call from a friend of mine who is bringing #1 into Maricopa and they were over 10 hours late, I lost the cell conection before I found out why.

About a month ago I saw #1 at the Tucson station at about 3:30 PM on Wednesday, April 16, about 19 hours late.

#1 Arrived LAX today, on May 21st, at 6:20pm 11 hours and 40 minutes late.

Thats funny, last week I saw it going thru LaPuente ON TIME! It was like 730ish and flying thru on her way to LA.

The trains often do run close to schedule, last week we rode the Texas Eagle from Chicago to Tucson, arriving within 1/2 hour of schedule.
Amtrak has no monopoly among common carriers for delays, a few years ago flying between Tucson and Newark, NJ I saw the sun rise twice between my arrival at the Tucson airport and my arrival at Newark.
