I was wondering if anyone knew about the parking at the New Orleans Station. We are looking for secure parking. Would it be better to park at the shuttle lot at the airport and take a cab to the Train station. Thanks for the info. D

For what it be worth, if you value your 'buggy" (as I do mine), best place for it is locked up at home in your garage; use a taxicab to get to the station.
However, if you are of the "oh well, it runs" school of thought, my cursory observations during Feb 02 (transfering from #1 to #58) would suggest NOUPT parking is no more or less secure than in other major cities. As I recall (but I could easily be mistaken), it is out front of the station on the ground, but it is attended.

We are driving down from Dallas TX. Have to make a short stop in Spring TX just a few more hour drive to New Orleans that is why we are leaving from New Orleans. I would like to leave our truck at home. But not possible.
