With temperatures getting into the 90's for parts of NY state, does this mean there will be heat restrictions back like last year. I think it was if its more than 90 degrees and between 1p.m. and 9p.m then the restriction would be in effect. This would probably delay Amtrak trains. Does anyone know? Thanks.

If this be the case. best "live with it".

Amtrak can ill-afford the loss of any additional equipment from a derailment.

Funny how trains never derailed because of the heat when Conrail owned the tracks.

Good comment Late Shore...! Wonder if there will be any responses other then "the freight must go through" [granted] and "no money to stabilize the track in the heat", or "technically impossible to do such a repair". There must be a reason.
