Ben - I enjoyed your travelogue!! My only comment is that I thought all express and mail service had been discontionued by AMTRAK by now, but apparently AMTRAK is still carrying express mail, according to your travelogue.
P.S. While skiing in Winter Park last winter, I got a great view from the top of one of the ski runs of the CZ coming out of Moffatt Tunnel heading west one day! (and the CZ was on time that day!)

Ben enjoyed your trip report Took the same train in may but mine was part of a 7,100 mile round trip from cleveland back via amtrak and via rail. Took ten days to do this.
