it was magnificant. the crew was great, the food was great, the weather was great. quite possibly the greates trip ever. I even learned how to lock the bathroom from the outside(hehehe). u could sure cause some havoc with this knowledge. imagine evreybathroom on the train locked (hehehehe) but ill probably forget how to do it by next summer. the train is definately the best way to travel.

I'm glad to hear that you were happy. I have heard good things lately from several people who have ridden the Coast Starlight. I rode the Coast Starlight a few months ago, and it was by far the best trip I have ever taken on Amtrak (and I have taken a lot of trips).

The Coast Starlight has quality employees who care. They treat their customers to clean, well stocked trains, and they are polite. If the Coast Starlight can do it, why can't all Amtrak trains? For those of you who have never ridden the Coast Starlight, you are really missing out on something.

Please keep the restroom doors unlocked, unless you are using one.

I like the Coast Starlight to..Its a very classic rommy and frindyl train to be on...Other than that it is othen 2+ hours late when I was won it was 2 hours late to San Jose, CA...But still that made it even more fun!!

I have taken the Coast Starlight to San Luis Obispo on many occasions. It's a very scenic ride.
On occasion, I'd take the Coast Starlight to Santa Barbara.
