I'm a reporter at Newsday in Long Island seeking Amtrak Auto Train regulars (especially those from with Long Island connections) to interview for a story. In particular, I'm wondering if frequent Auto Train riders wind up bumping into the same people every year -- or even arranging to travel with people who they've met on previous journeys. If you are such a person, and wouldn't mind being interviewed, please e-mail me at ann.givens@newsday.com or call 631-843-2451. Thanks!

I am not a regular on the auto train, but another fourm you may wish to try would be http://www.Trainorders.com Alot of "railfans" do indeed arrange to meet places w/ each other and i am sure that you will find what you are looking for.
good luck
