Most every train out of Chicago ends at a lower elevation. Almost all long distance trains reach final destinations near sea level. Chicago itself is 650' Above Sea Level.

#21 - Texas Eagle (San Antonio, TX 800' ASL)(Although it is debatable whether this train 'terminates' at San Antonio, since for the most part the consist continues to LA)
#370 - Pere Marquette (Grand Rapids, MI is 790' above sea level)
#303 - Ann Rutledge (Kansas City, MO is 750' above sea level)
