Five Amtrak conductors were each sentenced tuesday in federal court to 5 years probation and ordered to make restitution tatling nearly$121.000 for pocketing cash from tickets sold on trains. according to a news story in today's albany times-union. the thefts were discovered during a routine audit. all five were based out of Albany-Rensselaer.
The five pleaded guilty during the summer to a single count of Stealing more than $5.000 from Amtrak. The federal Prosecutor agreed to probation instead of prison to allow the five to work so that they could pay back the money.

I would presume that "on the property" they have been assessed discipline of dismissal.
