What can you tell me about long term ( a week) parking in New Orleans. Recall that it is not a great part of town. Is it covered?
How much is it? Thanks!

There is an attended lot in front of the NOUPT building; other than it is operated by a 'major" I would have no knowledge of their rates, and even less if you personall would consider them reasonable.

I'll be connecting myself from #1 to #58 on Ash Wednesday. I'm sure as always the joint will looking like some dumpster. I don't think you could pay me enough to find myself stuck there on "shrove Tuesday", I'm sure the various Gulf towns the Sunset passes through will be equally 'trashed'.

But the Stephen E. Ambrose D-Day Museum is likely worth a visit. I understand it is within a walk of the Depot. He truly was a historian who knew how to communicate with UENI, even if I believe he "glossed over" a few points regarding Jim Beckwurth in his transcontinental railroad teastiste.

But as a WWII historian, his works are top notch, and I'm certain this museum will reflect that.

The new orleans station is fairly decent. The parking isn't covered, gated, however. The best place to park is right out front of the building- they have long term parking right there. It was like 4-5 dollars daily and you just drop your $ in these little drop boxes near the parking areas according to which parking space you use.
