Hi guys, just thought I should post a link to the worlds newest, longest North/South Trans-Continental rail link. Please ignore the guy hired to promote the service who is our latest International embarassment. Mike.

I rode the Ghan three years ago from Sydney to Alice Springs. It was a great ride. The Sydney/Adelaide sector had lots of good scenery and the food and service were superb. Adelaide/Sydney there was a crew change and the service and food were less than wonderful. There was a catering screw up so they were serving the same meals we'd had on the first sector and the comparison was not good. I'd like to do this new leg. We flew from Ayers Rock (Uluru) to Darwin via Alice. There is some spectacular scenery and wildlife in the N.T.
