Are there any plans to upgrade the tracks from Niagara Falls, NY to Albany? I know they are going to start running the Turboliners on the corridor and I believe there top speed is 125 mph, but the corridor top speed is 79 mph.

From what source did you hear the the Turbos may be running to Niagara Falls? I will be surprised if they venture north of Albany (on a revenue run). Would love to be proven wrong! I remember hearing that Amtrak will get more out of them if they are concentrated on the NYP to Albany route. Course, I'd like to see them on the Adirondack route - the large windows would be great for sightseeing. At present, they are hardly even using the Turboliners (one round trip each day?).
