Does anyone know if the route change for the California Zephyr is still in effect because of the Moffit Tunnel closing? We are traveling June 12-14th from Chicago to San Francisco and I was hoping they changed the repair schedule. Any news? Thanks, Jeff

It appears Mr. Lawman that you will will be witnessing a parade of freights running accross the Wyoming "moonscape" on "headway".
I don't think it will prove to be "the end of the world".
I draw this conclusion after entering a Chicago to Grand Junction itinerary at the website departing June 12. That itinerary returned using #5 Chi-Denver; then changing there to #3005, a bustitution, Denver to Grand Junction.
