Its 11:20 and the news just announced that the Seattle MonoRail had caught fire,(I was planning on rideing it again this summer) then Showed video of the MonoRail burning, and poeple being rescued by the Fire department, I've rode that MonoRail before, when I was little, and when I rode it last summer, hope the fire does not reck the TrainSet, there are 2 MonoRail sets, they have only been using the plane one, the other always sits there in the elevated station, and is now covered with ads, the Seattle MonoRail has been there for years, and is a mile long, it originates at the Seattle Space Needle, this was a suprize to me because there is nothing visible in side that appears to be Flamable,, if anyone knows more on this topic please post,

Thank You

Thanks for the info, Jonathon. I was also hoping to ride the Seattle Monorail this summer as well. When I take my first Amtrak trip (finally!) out to my uncle's place in Washington state, I'm hoping we'll get to Seattle....I'm hoping to go there as well as Vancouver and Victoria. The time to go to all three places might be limited however so its hard to say which places we'll actually get to. I figured I would have a good excuse to ride the monorail since I want to see both the Space Needle and the Pike Place Market, and since the monorail is near both we should be able to use it to get from one to the other so we don't have to put up with driving around downtown too much.

This should have been posted in the "Light Rail and Transit" area, since it has nothing to do with Amtrak.

With someone stooping so low as to post in the wrong area in this forum, I fear the end times are near.....
