I am considering yet another trip on the Chief out to California.

This time, I would like to consider a visit to Disneyland for a couple of days. If I de-train at Fullerton, does anyone know how much typical cab fare might be between the station and Disneyland ?

If it would not be too expensive, that is the option I want to consider. Otherwise, I presume I would have to de-train at LA and then take a Surfliner to Anaheim---then cab-in from there. I want to try and avoid this if possible.

Any help appreciated.

I did a fare search on Amtrak.com from Fullerton to Anaheim in an unreserved coach, and just chose a generic date and time. The fare it gave me one way was $4.50.

Hope this helps,

I havent ridden a cab in years, it shouldnt cost that much, and it will be cheaper if you took the Metrolink, I dont think a cab should be that more exspencive, although last time I took one, while waiting for the driver to give back the change, he slamed the door and punched the gas,, ohwell, if you want you can still take the cab, but the Metrolink is also a good way

No need to go into LAX to catch the Surfliner to Anaheim. You can detrain from the SWC at Fullerton and catch either a Surfliner or a Metrolink from Fullerton down to Anaheim (a whole 6-mile, 10-minute ride!!). The Anaheim station is at the Stadium, which is about 6 or 7 blocks from Disneyland only, if I recall -- easy taxicab ride.
