Starting our trip this Friday and have this question.

We are catching the train at Fullerton; so the train is scheduled to arrive at 7:45 pm. Any possibility that Dinner is being served out of LAX and that the Diner will still be serving after Fullerton?

I did the same thing a week ago. You will get dinner if you board in Fullerton. You will immediately go to the diner after you get on.

I had no problem getting a seat in the diner, in fact it was not even very crowded. Also, they did not mention anything that I could not order. They did run out of wine for dinner though the next night. I got on on a sunday evening (Memorial day weekend).
