Is there a web site that shows photos of all the Amtrak Stations/shelters?

http://www.hebners.net/amtrak/

There is another site which I can't find at the moment. It is run, I believe, by a Japanese man who has visited virtually all the stations in the US - and not necessarily by rail. Quite an achievement!

I felt it was enough of "achievement" to say I visited and photographed all (13. as I recall) Terminal stations in London, circa 1976.

snow.prohosting is deffinetly the best...I use it all the time. The photos are fairly current and its way better then the amtrak station info. ALthough amtraks new station finder with mapquest is a bit useful.

ALSO for train stuff check out: www.360360.com (only fairly big stations. BUT it also has car tours.)

And if its a station in California..http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/rail/depots/amstas.htm

This site even provides tourist info etc.

That is indeed a great site. One caveat, however, is that some of the photos showing track directions are reversed. North should be south, etc. Davis, CA and Albany, OR are two examples.

The guy who runs the site (yes, he's Japanese) has told me that he usually drives from station to station.

I've noticed, however, that he's started updating some of his existing pages with extra photos that simply duplicate his earlier shots of the same station. Call me fussy, but I think it spoils the "purity" of his original concept.

To date, there are also roughly 100 stations still missing-in-action (mostly in the Northeast). He hopes to visit them soon.
