18 hours 13 minutes late in departing Los Angeles.
You wonder why Amtrak would even send this train out!? I'm sure it was a ghost train by the time it departed. I can't imagine people waiting around that long just to leave.
On the flip side, #1 was only 15 min late into Houston tonight!

Train #1 was a little over 24 hours late arriving, so it made up some time on the turn around. I was told that they would have killed it at Tucson, but that there were no busses available to take the passengers on to LA.
I'd bet a good stogie that #1 don't make it to Tucson before midnight tomorrow.

Amtrak's web site lists 2 (15) 58 hours, 29 minutes late at Alpine. This is amazing. Does anyone have details?

Looks like #2 just arrived at San Antonio, 2-1/2 days late.

Yes, I too would like details, how did it shave so much time off it's normal trip to be only 58 hours late?

Yikes! It just gets worse all the time.
